On August 4, 2015, Yiwu and Smalevich District signed the Memorandum of Friendly Relations between Yiwu City and Smalevich District.

The use period of the Sino-Belarus Industrial Park in Smalevich is 30 years. The park covers an area of 80 square kilometers and plans to accommodate 120,000 employees. Eight companies such as Huawei ZTE are currently stationed in the area.

Smalevich District is located in the northeast of the central district of Minsk region. It was founded in 1924, covers an area of 1403 square kilometers, and has a population of 43,000. The administrative center is the city of Smalevich.

Smalevich District has poultry product factories, compound feed factories, 19 industrial enterprises, 7 construction units, 15 collective farms, 2 state-owned farms, 61 small and medium-sized enterprises, 110 trade agencies, 3 banks and 2 Joint venture. The area has a developed tourism industry, with various manors built, and beautiful natural scenery.

Sino-Belarus Industrial Park

The zone established the China-Belarus Industrial Park on June 19, 2014. Soon, on June 30, President Lukashenko signed the No. 326 instruction on the operation of the Sino-Belarus "Big Stone" Industrial Park. The use period of the Sino-Belarus Industrial Park in Smalevich is 30 years. The park covers an area of 80 square kilometers. It plans to accommodate 120,000 employees and plans to establish an industrial logistics zone in the industrial park. The park operation plan is operated by the "Park Development Corporation", which is controlled by China Engineering Corporation 45%, Minsk State Executive Committee 32.5%, Harbin Investment Corporation 15%, Minsk City Executive Committee 3.75%, and Belarus State Holding "Horizontal Line" 3.75 %. The park gives priority to the development of fine chemistry, biomedicine, electronics industry and machinery manufacturing. The market is oriented towards the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union. Eight companies such as Huawei ZTE are currently stationed in the area.

Transportation

The area has the domestic airport "Minsk-2", the Berlin-Moscow highway and the Moscow-Minsk-Brest railway. It is an important transportation hub city.
